Thanks for bringing up such issues. I will not be using the servo as the one in the photo. Those are the ones that came with the original RC plane which use a different 5 pin connector from the regular 3 pin ones. The one from the ARDX kit is much smaller and lighter. Anyhow, if a large blimp is unable to lift the weight of a full arduino, a ~20 gram receiver, 2 small toy motors, and some other stuff for the structure, I don't mind getting a bunch of party balloons and taping them together or something (this would be easier to ballast too). It won't look exactly like a blimp, but just needs to move around as a proof of concept. My current concern is making sure the receiver outputs PPM and making a circuit so that the arduino can receive the receiver signals.
