Need to know Name of a Sensor

Hi Everyone,

I have live tick data updating in a LCD screen. I want a sensor which i would place in front of LCD and it should be capable of reading these live changing values.

Please suggest what kind of sensor / component can do this?

Camera/computer or cell phone with character recognition software.

How is the

represented?

I'd suggest it would be better to find another way of accesing the tick data.

I have LCD Monitor Of Computer. Live data is represented in a cell of Excel File.

Extracting useful text info from a computer screen is challenging. Even for a human!

If you have live data going into Excel , can’t that data also be sent over RS232 to the Arduino .?
