In building some of the OttoDIY projects, I'm looking for a small, 5A battery power system that needs to be about 60mmx60mm. I am looking to use a small 2S lipo with high discharge (for up to 6 MG90s servos) and I can easily find an XL4015 step down @5A converter. But I want to protect the Lipo from discharge below, say 7v. (not sure I need to measure each cell). Is there a simple, small undervoltage protection module that exists? I don't need a charger.. I can remove and use my balanced LiPo charger. I'm not sure if a BMS module is designed just for under-discharge voltage.. seems it is more for being integrated into a charger.
An alternative solution would be to have the converter shut down if under a pre-set input voltage.. (using a POT to set input Vin(min) to say 7v.._) but that might be a unicorn dream.
there are some nice solutions for 2x 18650 batteries.. but the module is too large to be used in the OttoDIY projects.
