Need wireless thoughts, please

I woukd like to send temperature and battery voltage, a few times a day, about 100 yards.
Just need the receiving end to see the three vales and time.
I gave Esp-01 and a 8266 board, and Arduino Mega boards.

What do you all suggest? Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving..

Is there anything but air between the transmitter and receiver? Thanks for the belated Thanksgiving wishes.

You can use a 433 Mhz, or the other frequency 315? Mhz, radio frequency pair. With the VirtualWire library. As long as only air is in between them. As they are line of sight radios. They are also cheep. They only work one way. If you want 2 way you need a 433 pair going one direction, and the 315? Pair going the other way. They only require, positive voltage, negative, and a signal wire. Out of the box the range is really low. But adding an antenna, piece of wire, drastically increases the range. As for the time of day thing, you might want to add a RTC module (Real Time Clock). The arduino crystal isn't good at keeping time, it over a days worth of time it can be off by a few minutes. Multiplied over weeks and you are hours off.

Remember that which UHF modules you can legally use, 315Mhz, 433Mhz, 868Mhz or 915Mhz depends where in the world you are.

As far as I know the 2.4Ghz modules use an allocation that can be used just about anywhere.

All my thoughts are wireless. (And most of them are clueless as well)

Thanks for feedback. Only thing between the transmitter and receiver will be my house. At the most 100 yards.
