Needing a sketch for checking communications between computer and Arduino Nano

Does anyone know of some sketch I can use to check 2 way communications between the computer and a Aduino Nano>

I am having communications issues with a Arduino Nano GRBL board for a small cnc machine.

Yeah I needed two communications, but I found another sketch that worked.

Still having an issue trying to comminuciate with a GRBL cnc board that has a Nano on it. The Arduino Ide wont communicate with it in the serial monitor but a serial monitor calle Hype Terminal will.

It isn't Hype Terminal.
It is Hyperterminal.

Check compare the settings.
