When I run one motor and the others are disconnected from shield power ok (0.5 A) nema 17 (0.4 A type) but when I connect the others motorer to the shield, each motor runs
2.2 amp approx. what do you think my problem is? thanks.

You already told us what the problem is! You have a 0.5 Amp power supply, You have stepper motors that take 0.4 Amperes per phase. 2-phase per motor, so already you are looking at 0.8 Amperes for a single motor.
Unfortunately it isn't that easy.
