neopixel moving dot speed with nano.

I am using a 144 led WS2812 Strip. and need to get a whit light to “shoot” across the strip very quickly.

You can't. You are turning off one LED and on another as fast as possible.

and light up 2 leds at a time (or in 3x) the main time is consumed by the .show() (approx 2.5ms i suspect) for a the visual effect another option is create a tail. (letting the leds behind be a tad dimmer)
And if you want the speed more finely adjustable rather than going through a pattern sequencially, set the time it takes for the pattern to complete and calculate how far in the pattern you are (supposed to be) . this does mean you clear the whole pattern everytime, but that takes hardly any time at all
