I want to build a new Arduino Development Board. I want it to use the atMega1280 chip, a spot to use the same shields as the Arduino Duemilanove, a native Real Time Clock Chip, native Micro SD Card, and also a native XBee chip where you can just drop in any XBee module. Any ideas? Is this very complicated?
Not complicated at all. That's why there are so many Arduino-compatible boards out there, with all kind of variations.
This sounds like a great idea. I had been thinking of the same thing.
Use a 2560, it is pin compatible with the 1280.
I would buy one if you make them available.
