New Arduino Every Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor request Failed)

Hello,

I seem to have an issue with fresh-out-of-the-box Arduino Nano Every. I use a Dell Optiplex 3080 to which I connect the Arduino (USB). At first everything seems to be working fine. The device manager recognizes the device. But after a while I get the "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor request Failed)". Whether I program the device or not.
So I tried this with multiple new Arduino's. After a reboot ( about 1 in 3 reboots) the PC powers on with the error message (Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor request Failed)). I tried multiple drivers for example: 6.0.0.1 from 14/06/2013 by Atmel Corp & 10.0.22000.653 from 21/06/2006 by Microsoft (the drivers were installed when the Arduino was recognized by the device manager).

In the event viewer we see that at the time of the error (Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor request Failed)) We get an "Windows Error Reporting" which gives us the following:
C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\USBHUB3\USBHUB3-20220907-0758.dmp
But this folder seems to be empty (show hidden files is on).
Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks in Advance,
David

@davidvs I am evaluating the Arduino Nano Every for a work project and I also noticed the exact issues that you described. I put a support ticket in with Arduino and they said they are looking into the issue. I will comment back here with the reply when I hear something back from them.

@davidvs Arduino support got back to me. They didn't have any specific advice on how to fix the issue because they couldn't reproduce it. They theorized that it might have been a bad batch of units or an older firmware loaded on the USB-to-serial controller, but they don't know for sure.
