New Arduino Mega does not WORK!!

I've been using a stupid clone of a Arduino Mega 2560 on my lap, Win 7, Arduino 1.0.5-r2, and was dying till the original arrives, which delayed!! :0

Finally After I get the board, it doesnt work. Tried uploading the blink code and I get this error.

avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout

avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_getsync(): timeout communicating with programmer

Read a shit load of articles, no solutionr anywhere for a BRAND NEW ARDUINO or even an old on.

Tried to burn a new bootloader because the LED on pin 13 does not blink when reset is pressed or power is connected, using this, http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/ArduinoISP, using my clone as the programmer, and Yes I did connect the wires to 50 51 52 54, no luck there!!

Tried the loop-back test, Loop-Back Test Instructions - Installation & Troubleshooting - Arduino Forum, works fine.

Im stuck, right now, preferring the clone!! Please Help! :~

Peace Out!!

reinstall bootloader...it will work fine..

But How?

I have two units that didn't work properly when I first bought them, I created a video of them not accepting code, and then sent it off to the seller and they shipped me replacements. If it came from china they will ask if you can ship it back, but the cost of that was almost the same as the purchase price, so they shipped it anyways.

These came from Sparkfun

Contact sparkfun. They sent me lilypad with no bootloader, so sketches couldn't be installed. I sent them my testing demo-ing that no bootloader was installed, and they sent me another. Awkward to add a bootloader to that particular version because the SPI pins were not brought out.

Thank you guys, I will contact them.
