Dear Arduino, as a new user I need some guidance in order to buy my first Arduino controller.
My project is as follows:
1.- I need to input 9 pressure transducers as input.
2.- I need wireless communication with iOS, Android or portable computers.
3.- The most economic and efficient Arduino controller.
Please make a recommendation base on cost because we may have the need for large quantities in the future. I forgot also if you can recommend on heavy duty pressure transducers that will work with this system.
You're looking at it backwards imo..... you should search the world to get the transducers first, then spec the controller.
The specs of the transducers (stuff like: voltage, currrent, number of wires, digital/analog and more) will have a bearing on the capabilities that the controller requires.
So you'll get a controller that works with the transducers, rather than "heavy duty pressure transducers that will work with this system".
And ...
What sort of wireless communication do you want? The Yun has Wifi built-in but it may or may not suit other aspects of your project. For the other Ardunos bluetooth is probably the easiest but the range is limited.
Do you really need a system that can communicate with PCs using all three Operating Systems, or can you decide on just one of them?
What software will be running on the PC to receive the data from the Arduino?
What do you mean by "most efficient" Arduino - in particular, do you mean "energy efficient"?
How will the Arduino be powered?
