New cloud Arduino cloud update is not letting me upload code (Still need help)

Hi all. Regarding the issue with not being able to upload to 3rd party boards when using ChromeOS machines, I have received news that, for now, only the list of boards documented here can be used with Arduino Cloud on ChromeOS machines:

https://support.arduino.cc/hc/en-us/articles/360016495639-Use-Arduino-with-Chromebook#use-the-cloud-editor-on-chromebook

I am not aware of any workarounds that will allow uploading to boards other than the ones on that list. I will try to post an update here if I receive any news on the subject.

I just want to clarify this. So there is now no longer any support except for arduino brand boards?

That is the situation at this time. I don't have any information about when, or if, the situation will change. I'll try to keep you updated here if I learn anything more.

I'm not sure who to give feedback to, but this is a major blow and makes my class all but unrunnable as we head into the end of the semester. Quite a gut punch.

You can try the other solutions that was mentioned above, but they might now still work.

I'm in the same boat. My students' yearlong projects are basically shut down. It would also be nice to know if this is going to be resolved so I can plan for next year, one way or the other.

Has there any updates on this yet?

No. I will be sure to post an update if I learn anything.

Until then, the workaround I can suggest for ChromeOS users is to procure one of the supported boards:

Ok thanks

Good news, everyone! Support has now been restored for uploading to 3rd party derivatives of the officially supported boards from Arduino Cloud Editor on ChromeOS machines.

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Please give it a try and let us know if you still have any problems.
