It supports 850/900/1800/1900 quad-band GSM network. And there is an designed on board internal antenna which provides stable RF performance. Just plug the module on your Arduino and you can fully control the module by AT commands. The shield has a compatible connector for Raspberry Pi.

Features:
Quad-band : 850/900/1800/1900MHz
GPRS Multi-slot Class: 12,1~12 configurable
GPRS Mobile Station: Class B
Control via AT commands: GSM07.07,07.05
GPRS Class12: Max. 85.6 kbps(uplink & downlink)
Protocols: PPP/TCP/UDP/HTTP/FTP/SMTP/MUX
Certifications: CE/FCC/GCF/PTCRB/NCC/ANATEL/IC/ICASA/UCRF/A-Tick

Please check the details on the website http://www.grikertech.com

Is this board compatible with arduino GSM library ?

Is this board compatible with arduino GSM library ?

Yes, we are using the same chipset supplier(Quectel). Only the difference is the pin of PowerKey (Pin A3).
You can powerup the Shield by following our website tutorial http://www.grikertech.com/#!gsmgprs-shield-for-arduino/cikc
All of the original library of Arduino can be used for GrikerTech shield.

I am at Australia.
Does the shield support Australian network?

GrikerTech Shield supports quad-band GSM network.
Australia uses 900/1800 band of 2G network, so the Shield is supporting Australia network.

  1. Yes, you can use a pre-paid SIM card for the shield. The GrikerTech GSM shield supports Quad-band GSM network.

  2. The GrikerTech GSM shield has a high performance design on board antenna. The external antenna is applicable only if you install the shield in a metal box.

Just got a GSM shield from GrikerTech website.
Works good with my Arduino UNO board.
