I'm very inexperienced with arduino boards and engineering in general and I was looking for a simple project that I could start out with. I would love to create a scrolling LED marquee sign, but I'm not sure how simple that would be.

Would anyone have any suggestions? Or possibly a different forum that is more geared towards beginners?

Beginners are very welcome here.

I think you will be much more likely to get help if you edit your Original Post and change the title to something like "Help with scrolling LED sign"

You should also study several of the example programs that come with the Arduino IDE so that you become familiar with the basics of programming.
