New in Arduino world

Hi, can anyone tell me a good place to start learning arduino programming? Thanks.

A good place to start is right here.

Go to Learning / Examples right up there at the top of this page.

Blink is a good first try, it is the hello world of arduino.

I agree.

If you understand that blink sketch (these examples are installed with the IDE, the program you use to build Arduino sketches), test your understanding of it by making it blink in another speed, another pattern and so forth. Then, see if you understand how to correctly connect one or more LEDs to the Arduino, and have them all blink. - At the same time - In sequence - Out of sequence

There's a lot you can do like this, with almost no extra parts. It will keep you busy for a weekend. And you'll have lots of fun doing this, and seeing your experiments work, or finding out why it doesn't exactly do what you expected it to do.
