New library for USB Joystick/game pad interface

Hi All,

I have uploaded a new library for easy interfacing with USB joysticks/game pads:

provides an Arduino library and class for reading input from a
USB joystick/game pad, such as Logitech ‘Dual Action’ game pad.
It can be subclassed to get control when new input values are read, or when they actually change.
Alternatively, you can set up callback functions to be called
when new input values are read, or when they actually change.

Requires:

  • SparkFun USB Host Shield
  • USB_Host_Shield library.

You can find the latest version at http://www.open.com.au/mikem/arduino/USBJoystick

Cheers.

Ok, there’s two different kind of USB joystick libraries; one that emulates joystick http://www.arduino.nl/?p=36 , and this one, that reads joystick.

It seems like it’s time to consider buying a shield then.

Cheers,
Kari

This library does not work with any Joystick!

Works with Logitech 'Dual Action' game pad.
