I read Serial ports option is greyed out on Arduino IDE on Mac and many other articles about not being able to find the virtual serial port. There are many and varied solutions on line, of which many, I have tried unsuccessfully. Should one use the CH341SER_MAC_1.5 driver, even on Apple's Big Sur, which is supposed to have in-built support? Or, is there a problem, once again, with the Apple USB virtual serial port drivers such that the unlucky few get to struggle with the simple task of plugging in a connector?
