New on Arduino need help!

Hello,
I’m new in Arduino and I’m doing my first project. It consist on take the information from sensor, amplificate it and reading the information (between 0 and 5V in input). When the information is read if the Voltage is between X and Y value a LED must be on and if its not a LED must be off.
My question is basically how to make that Arduino read the voltage. Then I suppose that i must do an ‘if’ function to turn on/off the LED.

Anyone can help me with the code and explain me how to plug and read the input voltage?

Thanks you!

Tell us what it is that generates the voltage.We need some web pages with information of the sensor that generates the voltage.

Taking a reading of your sensor output, which is amplified to 0-5V range before being connected to an analog input pin, say A0, and then acting on it is pretty simple.

int inputSensor = analogRead (A0); // result is reading from 0 to 1023
if (inputSensor>= tripValue){
digitalWrite(ledPin, HIGH);
}
else{
digitalWrite (ledPin, LOW);
}

Or to elaborate on CR’s code since you want to check for being between two values, something like this:

int inputSensor = analogRead (A0); // result is reading from 0 to 1023
if (inputSensor>= tripValueLow &&  inputSensor<= tripValueHigh){
digitalWrite(ledPin, HIGH);
}
else{
digitalWrite (ledPin, LOW);
}

And you would need to intitialise those trip variables first, remember.
