hi im darren im new to arduino programming and was wondering if i could get some advice on a project that i would like to do i know i am probably in over my head but i would like to build a uav plane that i can launch that will fly itself by gps around a designated area and i would like a camera on it aswell to transmit video ,there are lots of thing i dont know and i was wondering if you guys could help how do in make it wireless would i need to install a transmitter/reciver and a gps modual plus how would i control the plane off of the gps readings or am i going about it the wrong way could you guys mabey come up with a fue inexpensive low power and light weight ways of doing this all help is apreciated also video are alot better at understanding thanks

It's a very popular and fashionable topic at the moment. You can buy products off the shelf to do what you want - they aren't cheap, but nowhere near as expensive as they would have been a few years earlier.

There are open source projects to develop the hardware and firmware that would let you build your own device using other people's designs. That would involve very little original development but would still be an extremely advanced project which is likely to require a few years of experience under your belt in order to have a realistic chance of success.

Or you could develop as much of the hardware and software yourself as you want - obviously the more you do the more knowledge and effort would be required, and you should consider that most of the successful projects are the results of years or decades of dedication.
