New ShiftBrite Library (That Works)

I tried out the shiftbrite lib that exists on the website and it no longer works (or never has for all I know). So i decided to write my own and share it with you guys.

Here is the link, hope you enjoy.

Awesome! I’ve been messing with shiftbrites a while and I’m not a microcontroller guy so it’s a little hard for me to understand the SPI stuff.

I have a question, though. How does one daisy chain multiple shiftbrites using your code? I really only see the example working for one unit.

Again, sorry if its obvious, I’m more of a fat client developer tinkering with microcontrollers.

I’m also curious about how one specifies the number of Shiftbrites present in the chain. I haven’t tried to look into the C/C+ files in the library, which may or may not provide info in that regard, but it would be awesome if the OP could shed some light on this, since it isn’t mentioned in the example code on Github. Thanks for the library, though!

As a quick update to my post above, the library doesn’t seem to include anything to indicate how many Shiftbrites are in the chain. OP, any chance you are still around and are interested in updating the library?
