New Stuffs

Hi,

This is a topic talking about what I don't know yet, new hardware that I can use.

So lately I don't have any kind of ideas instead of the components that I use and I know,
I got like wireless 2.4Ghz mostly as know nRF24L01, different kind of sensors, temp/press..etc
GPS, hbridge chips, Atmegas328, leds, resistors, transistors, motors, US sensor and many others..

I'm thinking what to buy next but I don't have any idea, I was thinking about bluetooth or wifi but
boring playing with wireless, do you have any kind of hardware, suggestions or what else can I do..

I'm working on a project already but it's a long project so in between i like to keep me busy with
small and fun project, any idea would be nice as projects or hardware components/modules..etc

pls give me something I'm boring

Have you played with ATtiny microcontrollers? I love them - I almost never use a fullsized '328p. I realize I don't save much, if any money, but there's a beauty in using no larger of a device than you need, and most of the projects I do don't need much in terms of software. Some of the new ATTiny's are incredibly feature heavy - the 1634 and 841 (which my core supports, and oh hey, I happen to sell boards for them, assembled and bare) both have two hardware serial ports, and the 841 has 6 PWM outputs (four with 16-bit timers - it's timer 1 and timer 2 are both like the '328's timer1)

I had a lot of fun making my own 433mhz protocol for home automation. Then I realized how capable the ESP8266 is and haven't really done much with it since... I love ESP8266's. Have you played with them much? If not, give those a try. Get some ESP8266's (the ESP-12 ones, with the big flash and all the pins) and breakout boards (or my prototyping board, ). I love them - I prefer running Espruino interpreter on them, so I can program them in javascript (it's so much more pleasant for connected stuff than C)

I'm boring

Ya seriously man, I stopped reading halfway through! (linguistic note, in case this wasn't a typo and you're a non-native english speaker- you want "I'm bored" - "I'm boring" means that you cause other people to be bored.)

Get/make your own 3D printer. You will also learn cad that way.

How about a table that auto levels very precise? Would be useful for a 3D printer.

I was thinking about making a robot capable of getting me a soda from the fridge.

What about a Nixie tube clock? they got lots but I'm going to make mine fallout inspired. as soon as I get fully done with my current project, ws2801 controlled LEDs on the eve of my house controlled via wifi and iPhone. With a weather display and timer.

I'm 70% finished, but it's usually the last 30 that takes the longest.

Oh, ya, nixie clocks are great. A little cliche now, though - on mine, I put one of the symbol ones at the end, and so I use it to show the temperature and humidity too (with a deg C and % sign). Makes it less like everyone else's.

3d printer is also a great project if you're mechanically inclined. They seem to be a project just to keep running, though. My friends have several, but none of them have one that works.

I've got a Rostock max and so far I'm getting good prints out of it.

A mini 2-wheeled remote controlled balancing 'segway'? aka 2-wheeled balancing bot.... seems to be pretty popular and not boring.

Thanks taking it as a joke  english is not my 1st language it's kinda hard to keep up and sometimes
i makes mistakes, grammar mistakes, I don't like grammar but you need to learn it so people could understand you more clearly

Have you played with ATtiny microcontrollers?

Yea I was thinking to use ATtiny which one do you suggest? I already done a PCB flash light signal
for my bicycle at night using 10mm leds and 3mm, but the only atmega i had was the 328 and it's
kinda big for that small project

Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6Sp5a1ZW6k

About Wifi I will skip it it's nice but time consuming, I'm searching for fast small projects
just to keep me busy for a while and get more ideas.

btw " I'm boring " as I understand it's when you are bored but keep bored for a long time, like
I'm boring from now till the next 2~4days so i will be bored for the next days as well, well maybe I'm
wrong so nvm

Get/make your own 3D printer.

Well I tried once to make one but it's time consuming and materials, in my long project im working now
i need a 3d printer but looks like i do my orders from local guys who got 3d printer.

I even made Forum posts here about 3D printers how to make them ..etc but it's waste of materials
if you don't keep this project seriously.

nixie clocks are great

Ow yea  my friend wanted once nixie clock and I said i will help him to build one but after a while
he didn't said anything and stopped.

Segway sounds fun, i make a selfbalancing robot once and tried to implement the idea and code to a
segway after that but i didn't had the time and money to build one and the price was almost the same
as a new segway so i thought there is no point to make one when you can buy one with the same money.

Sadly that's true the money you will spend to build one is the same buying a new one.
