New to Arduino and need help...

Hi, I am new to using these sorts of things and only interested in the programming for this project I'm making. I need a button connected via a breadboard to type the letter 'g' when pressed. I would like to make sure the circuit is correct and what code I would need. I have one pin of the button connected to 5v via a 2.2 KOhms wound resistor, the other pin connected to Ground and one pin further than the first (on the breadboard) connected to the 7 pin.

Thanks and I hope this makes sense.

If you want someone to write code for you then you should ask in the Gigs and Collaborations section and be prepared to pay.

If you want help to write the program yourself then post the program you have tried and tell us what it actually does and what you would like it to do.

If you use pinMode(pin, INPUT_PULLUP); the internal pullup resistor is used and there is no need for an external resistor.

Thank you for your assistance..
