New to Arduino, looking for advice

Good day to all!

So, as the title say, I am new to Arduino. I got a small cheap kit from a friend for a very small project that involved rotating a figure 45 degrees back and forth. I used the Arduino chipset and Servo that came with it.

Now, on to my query. I would like to create a very small program that operates a couple of LEDS and plays sounds from a sound chip and then operate a servo motor. I bought a DY-SV8F chip that can play up to 8 files. I opened up the Data Sheet and found the commands to play the sounds. Anyone here ever did something similar and can give a few pointers?

Basically I have a diorama with a castle entrance and I would like to play a sound (horns) and then open a gate.
