Hello all I purchased a 2012 Version Board ATmega328P UNO R3 and I can not seem to get it to work or find a correct river for it. can any one help? I have tried downloading may files from the site and have read quite a bit on here. Any info would be great.

Yes just not sure which one will work for mine its like im not getting the Arduino UNO.inf file. I can never find it for the setup

Please give a link to the board you purchased - there are a lot of Chinese 'clones' that do not use the ftdi chip.

The USB/Serial interface chip is a CH340. Never heard of it and that's why you have problems.

Sorry but that is definetely a chinese clone this is what a real arduino uno rev 3 looks like.


I know this is solved but I just wanna state that if you buy knock off to save money in the electronics world you are likely to have comparably issues. That don't mean it won't work just that you'll have a lot more time and work getting it to function. If your new you should always try a popular device before you get in to the others. Also with the uno just buy an official and use it to program atmega328 chips to use in projects cheaper even than clones ![]()
