newbie - distance sensor controlled pitch shift

Hello,

I'm totally new to Arduino. I want to make a system that enables people to wander around in a room, while the sound they hear changes (pitch shifting) according to their position in that room. I was thinking of using 4 distance sensors. Anyone here got any suggestions (or experience) with this?

I have the Arduino Mega board. The hardware I will be using;

  • distance sensor Sharp GP2Y3A003K0F
  • Molex 53047-0910 (needed for connection to breadboard? - which cable do I use?)
