Newbie Help. DEV ESP8266 vs UNO 2560

Hey all... I am in need of some professional or long time dev board user advice... I'm planning on getting a dev board and some other things because that is how I learn, by doing... so on to my question... I was wondering if anyone knows about the ESP8266 Wifi Development Board? Other than the fact that it's Wifi ready, is there anything I can't do with it that I could do with the UNO 2560? Or is it basically the same thing except the ESP is wifi? And if I decide to get both, I do need a Logic level converter to tie projects together since one is 3.3v and other is 5v, correct? Thx.

Really? 11 people have clicked into here and no answer still? I don't assume that it was 11 other newbies, (very unlikely) , so you guys who help people, and understand this stuff... was it a hard question? I actually found my answer, so the moderator can close this, unless I figure out how first. Thanks anyways guys.

So what was the answer? Its a little bit harsh to complain that no-one shared their knowledge with you then decline to share your knowledge with us..

I suspect your question was a little too vague to get easily answered : if you had said "I want to do X, which out of this board (with part number and/or link) or that board (with part number and/or link) will be most suited?" you may have had a more positive response.
