Newbie needing help with arduino and RF

HI guys, hope you can provide me with some help, or ressources.

i bought 2 arduino Duemilanove
i bought 2 pressure sensors
i bought a kit of 2 Rf transmittors

Here is what i want to do:
i am creating a timer for longboard track runs.
i plan to have at the top of a hill a pressure sensor attached to 1 arduino number 1 with 1 rf transmittor

i plan to have at the bottom of a hill a pressure sensor attached to 1 arduino number2 with 1 rf transmittor

arduino number2 will be linked by usb to a computer.

The second arduino would transmit data from the frist arduino to VVVV
(it would start a timer in vvvv)
The second aruino would also sense the pressure from the sensor at the botttom of the hill, and feed a ''bang'' in vvvv to stop the timer in vvvv.

I will list the components i am using.

  1. Making things work

  • i did setup my arduinos to work. i did the led 13 blink test.
    Now i was wondering how am i supposed to get the rf transmitter to send data to the second arduino.

  • once this is done how can i configure my second arduino to recieve data from the first arduino

then how am i supposed to be able to transer the recieved data from arduino number 2 to VVVV?

any help will be appreciated..

OK, i see the arduino software is a bit like processing.
i will use the arduino software to get track of time.

Now main concern, is having the rf modules working and transmitting data.

if u could give me a hand with how to plug them.

ok i figured out how to send data from arduino to computer or from arduino to arduino by inverting on the second arduino the rx tx wires.

and browse my videos for the second vid with 2 arduinos recieving data from a remote arduino!

I'm not even sure you're human - what does "VVVV" and "vvvv" mean? Am I missing something? Is this some new lingo the kids are speaking?

hi, vvvv, is a free software that is just alike the Maxmsp (from cycling 74) :wink: 645$ software
