Hello all you tech and electro savvy beastsi need some help with a circuit i cant get to work. Im a beginner of beginners in electronics and arduino and am attempting my first little project which is simply a blinking special LED bar.
Im trying to blink the LED using the arduino which is very simple but I cant get the transistor to properly run the circuit off the arduino. It seems it doesn't have enough power to trip the transistor fully as it does turn on the lights but they are very weak.
Conversly if I dont use the arduino and I short out the circuit by holding the battery positive and negative (i think only negative is required) the circuit works perfectly and with full power, as in second picture of my diagram.
Any pointers would be fantastic!
