Newbie q on attaching speaker wires to already-soldered slots...

I’m trying to attach some CQRobot speakers to my UNO and AdaFruit MP3 Shield, and – as everything came without instructions – THINK I need to attach the speaker to DIGITAL 3 and GND, but they already have soldered points (where the MP3 Shield is soldered to the UNO).

Do I just solder the speaker wires on top of the existing solder at DIGITAL 3 and GND? Or use the adjacent (inner?) points a few mm from DIGITAL 3 and GND instead?

Or am I supposed to solder these to the SPKR points by the headphone jack?

Thanks!

Adafruit MP3 shield tutorial.

I wish that answered the question, but it doesn't. That UNO has the plug-receptors for the speakers to plug directly into. My UNO doesn't...

I just soldered them into the SPKR slots -- very quiet, but they work. Thanks!

The board is designed for terminal blocks, surprised it didn't come with them...

Terminal plugs or that jack socket ? One version with an amplifier , one without - that’s wot I saw with a quick look

Speaker leads to PCBs use terminal blocks normally - you certainly don't want a speaker plugged in
accidentally to a DC supply, they don't last long on DC!
Besides the silk screening is for terminal blocks.
