Newcomer needs advice

Hi all,

As the title suggests, I'm a complete newcomer to Arduino, although with a little programming experience and plenty of electronics experience. As an initial task I'd like to hook up an MQ2 detector to my Mega 2560R3 board and output a reading to an LCD.

As I said, I only have a little programming experience so I'm hoping someone could give me an idea as to where I could start (or get ideas) for the sketch?

Apologies if this is something that is posted elsewhere, I've just signed up and finding my way round the site.
