The top bar on this forum has been cursed a lot since its introduction.
So now someone thought is was a good idea to also add a "bottom bar", bothering people with some newsletter to sign up to, and twitter, facebook, googleplus, flickr and youtube buttons on each and every page on this forum.
Why ?
Why ?
Why ?
Why ?
Why ?
and
Why ?
At least give an option to get rid of this nonsense, please.
Agree,
There is enough room in the top bar for these things so at least move it to top (then it will be read more often in fact!)
and the newsletter and contact info can be put into the menu imho.
I have criticized the waste of resources by the developers of this forum/website in the past so let me jump in here as well.
Why has effort been expended adding these silly features instead of on making the forum work smoothly?
And what makes this effort utterly ridiculous is that I never saw it because I never scroll to the bottom of a page. (Life is too short).
All of the shortcomings on this forum software are clear evidence that the developers don't use it themselves.
In other OpenSource projects the developers post a TODO list of features that have been requested, bugs discovered and ideas the developers have in mind. Why can't we have that here so users can vote on the priorities for the developers' efforts?
