Ensure you have a library before you buy.
Find a datasheet. Is it a serial ? / I2C ? Know details. Find the datasheet for that display.

Someone was working with it in Arduino UNO/MEGA ?

You really need to read the datasheets.

Differences between resistive and capacitance displays:

These displays should be powered with a separate power supply.
blurred screen or flashing screen are symptoms of power shortage which may cause damage to the
display.

These displays are small. That 2.8 inches is the measurement of the diagonal.
That is the diagonal of a 2 inch by 2 inch square.

These are also available on amazon.com.

This display being offered on ebay is strictly a serial port display.
This is NOT i2c or SPI. There is no mention as to the maximum bit rate for the serial port.

I would not choose this display for an UNO.
For a 2.8" with touch display I know panel marked "tjctm24028-spi" works very well.
Like this 3.3V one

I have this display, and I have some problems with it.
It is also impossible to work with touch, and with SD at the same time.
That's why I'm looking for something that will be easy to manipulate.

The item in your Ebay link says "Unbranded"
Was your device made by Itead or not?

Similar items on Ebay seem to be "16 new and refurbished".
I have no idea what this means.

I have never used Nextion. Several other members have experience. I suggest that you wait for them to reply.
You should find that lots of common graphics operations work very fast. A few might be excruciatingly slow.

This is probably a knockoff. Hard to tell the quality

I am still having problems to read from my nextion 2"4, but i know that you shoud program the display with the nextion HMI software and transfer the "*TFT" file from the program build library, start the display up with it and remove the sd card after you have done this. It is not supposed to work with the sd card inserted..
That is how much i can help you on the way now.. :frowning:

I have prepared series of video tutorial based on Nextion display. Here is channel.

While inhterfacing with arduino, you don't requires any stack or library. You can create your own. I have explained all the toolbox.
