I'm doing some research on some new projects that I would like to tackle. One of the most interesting ideas I came across was the Nixie Tube Clock. Nixie Tube Clocks can be viewed from the url i posted below containing further information. It looks like an extremely complicated project in which some materials might be hard to come by and/or build.

My Question To You:

Has any of you attempted or constructed a project like this? What kind of technology are we looking at here and is it something that I, as a college student, could acquire the materials for and build? Do you suggest a project like this is worth building?

If you can get the nixie tubes, yes. There are no viable substitutes, though.

Yes. Not my cup of tea, but learning is always good.
