No COM port/serial comms. Is my FTDI dead?

Hey guys,

I have an Arduino Nano which has been working great, until this morning. When I plug it in, it lights up and is working but the serial port is not showing up on my pc (or my notebook).

I suspect that the FTDI chip has taken a dive. I don't recall shorting anything out or putting anything into a pin where it wasn't meant to be. It was fine on Friday?

Is there any way around this or do I need to have it replaced? What's the warranty like with these things?

Thanks,
Scott

Well, good news. I got onto Marcus at Little Bird Electronics here in Australia (http://www.littlebirdelectronics.com), where I purchased the Nano. He's sending me a new Nano today express, with a return envelope inside it so I can send my original Nano back to him. Awesome customer service or what?!

Well, it will be. If he ever sends it to me and it doesn't take 3 weeks like last time.

Well, replacement Nano received overnight. Awesome stuff!
