No constant power relay

Is there a relay that works like a on/off switch?

Like... one pulse, turns on. A second pulse, turns off.

Without contant power?

Tks

Yes, they're called latching relays. Usually, 2 independent coils - one to close, one to open.

Perfect! Tks a lot! I

Sometimes they have only one coil. For those, you need an H-bridge to drive the coil.

Found this one 12V but didn't find any information about max current...

It's not clear to me if that relay has one coil or two. But I think it is probably 2, otherwise only 4 terminals would be needed, I suspect

I'm sure you won't be able to drive this relay with Arduino pins directly, you will need some transistors. Probably won't need an H-bridge.

If you buy it, you can find the max current by measuring the coil resistance with your multimeter.

But keep on shopping for Arduino compatible latching relay.

For sure some transistor as switch..

My concern is how much Amps this latching relay supports

Ah, you meant the max current for the contacts, not the max coil current. Maybe if you search for the numbers shown on the relay, you can find a datasheet.

Yes.. For the contacts current..

Since it's used for cars it only say "works for car A, car B" etc...

Still searching...
