I had a working arduino 1.0.5 on my debian laptop and programmed an arduino mini using a Uno R3 board with the Atmega chip removed as USB-to-serial connector. Everything worked fine. Now I changed to 1.8.5 (Linux 64bit downloaded from arduino.cc). But with the same hardware and the same connections no upload is possible. The error "avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding" occurs. IDE has the right board and port selected. When I insert the Atmega328 again into the Uno board and change the IDE settings to Uno board I can perfectly program the Uno.
Can anybody give me further information on how to get the mini programmed again?
