Unfortunately, recently popular models do not always satisfy the quality. Major brands enjoy use fame and save on materials to produce CNC machines. I began to pay more attention to small companies that really make strong machines, for example from China. Can anyone recommend to me any not popular solid CNC machine ?
What do you want the machine to do? What materials to be machined? What size objects to be machined? Do you have a price range?
I'd be very careful making that kind of generalisation...
Buying things like that, spare parts and support are important factors. Way too often China doesn't provide that. When things stop working they often offer some money back. (My own experience.) That's not fixing issues.
The big problem with things from China is that they are poorly designed, often ignoring safety requirements. Hardware also is rather "Heath Robinson" in order to save money. Like using a fish tank water pump instead of a real one.
Any software supplied with a Chinese CNC machine, from what I have seen, is particularly useless, being both requiring very old versions of Windows software, and full of bugs. Often with the laser cutters you have to throw away the controller board and replace it with something that actually works.
price range between 500 -2500$.
Sry, I'm jerk. I forget describe what kind of CNC machine I need.
So... I wanna a laser cutting machine with high accuracy of engraving at high speeds. I work with fabrics and leather.
Cutting speed around 500 mm/s.
Engraving Speed around 700 mm/s.
Laser cooling: water
Power 220 ±10% 50Hz.
Why?
Oh..That's mean that it is impossible to replace any part of machine in practice? Then two ways: I going to China on my own with a machine or will have back some money?
Thank you so much for your advice. I thought completely differently. Well, as other people told me...
Looks like fun.
I see him, but what is the funny machine for?
because my own experience is close to what @Grumpy_Mike said. They tend to cut corner in design and production to shave off a nickel or dime, offer limited or no post sales support, don't have lots of respect for intellectual property and sometimes would disregard target market jurisdictions / norms making it your problem not theirs..
I don't want to make generalisation either - not every company is like this - but the smaller they are the higher the risk...
That's mean that it is impossible to replace any part of machine in practice?
Not exactly but You will need to find sellers selling the things You need. The seller of the machine doesn't tell You. The answer was "No" when I asked fore replacement parts....
I must say however my experience with a laser cutter from Singapore was different.
i bought an A3 LionsForge craft laser 1 from a kick starter, they are on issue 3 these days.
I had a bit of a problem with damage in transit and they helped me in sorting it out.
Then after about 6 months it started to loose power and they provided me with details about cleaning the lenses. You might have thought that should have been something available from day one.
Then one day it went BANG and stopped working. They then supplied me with a replacement Tube and HT power supply at just the cost of shipping. But sadly that did not fix it, so they sent me the high current 12V / 5V power supply again for the cost of the shipping. And that did the trick I was back in business again.
So admittedly I had to do the fitting which was a big learning curve and I do now have an extensive knowledge of how it was put together.
It is a rather unconventional design in that it is run from Gcode stored on an SD card, with an analogue knob controlling the power and a digital setting controlling the speed.
All in all I have been very pleased with it, but I don't use it for production only one off for making enclosures.
At first I used Inscape to draw and prepare the Gcode. But now I have switch to using LightBurn software to do this.
lol. what a strange thing
r of the machin
Okay, now it's clear. Thank you!
where did you see it?
Here.
I know a lot of NON popular Cnc brands. Them work qualified and have power enough the same like Siemens cnc machines. I personally noticed that in most cases we overpay for the brand. But in fact there are a lot of Chinese machines that also work well.
