Hello,
I have connected an Arduino MKR, installed the SAMD package, but I can't select the port, it is greyed out.
At the bottom of the IDE, the information is well indicated: MKR WiFi 1010 on /dev/ttyACM0
I am using Linux (Ubuntu) and I have done all the updates.
I have unplugged, replugged and reset the card several times, but the problem persists.
Does anyone have a solution?
Hi SYLVIEDG141,
Have you allowed serial port permissions? If not please follow the steps in this guide: https://support.arduino.cc/hc/en-us/articles/360016495679-Fix-port-access-on-Linux
If you still have issues try doing a complete uninstall then reinstalling the Arduino IDE version 1.8.19 or Arduino IDE 2.0.2 by doing the following:
- Execute the uninstaller
- Delete Arduino15 Folder
- Reinstall the newest version of the Arduino IDE.
Thank you for your help. I have tried all but without success.
The problem is only for MKR boards. With the UNO I don't have that problem.
Problem solved by changing the cable !
