i just thought that closing the faq forum might be a good idea anyway. just a couple of people should be allowed to write here since the FAQ are by definition a place for frequently asked questions. but as this forum section is also the most visited one, many people (including me once or twice) tend to ask rather specific questions that could be posted to the dedicated sections instead.
if a poster knows that his question is frequently asked, why post it anyway and not just read the answer 
and as is understand this would be a solution to the spam problem as well.
