I tried compiling on another pc and yes it compiles and uploads so must be something else clashing, thanks for your help.
One last question...
It now uploads and connects fine to my wifi but it doesnt display the payload on the serial monitor, do I have that bit of code in the wrong place?
Investigating a bit further I find its returning -1 as the HttpCode from the Get which means no connection however Wifi manager is connected...
