Nodemcu wifi cannot see it in IDE

Hi There
I have a just purchased a nodeMCU 8266 with wifi.
I have managed to get it installed in the device manager with a silicone labs driver. I am not sure if this is the issue, but I cant find anything else.

I cannot see the board in the boards manager, I have followed what directions I can find online, to no avail.

I am searching for esp8266, is it called something else? is it in a sub category? I have uninstalled reinstalled and tried multiple pc's (all windows though). I have no idea what the issue is.
