I'm making a project with Nokia 5110 LCD and Arduino Nano. I DIDN'T get any errors at compiling, but Nokia LCD just gives no output except backlight. I don't know which one has an error, arduino or lcd. I'm using old bootloader. Any help?
You must provide more information.
Post the code. Read the forum guidelines to see how to properly post code and some information on how to get the most from this forum.
Use the IDE autoformat tool (ctrl-t or Tools, Auto format) before posting code in code tags.
Post a schematic of how the project should be wired. Show all components, their part numbers and/or values and all power supplies. A hand drawn, photographed and posted schematic is preferred over a fritz diagram.
Post photos that clearly shows the wiring. We need to see where every wire originates and terminates.
The more and better the information that you provide, the faster we can resolve your issue(s).
What is wrong with a Fritzing diagram ?
They show a realistic view of Arduino headers, breadboard geometry, ...
They show coloured wires. The wires can be nicely routed to make the ends and crossings un-ambiguous.
Of course, blindly pasting a foreign Fritzing that does not match your colours or wire layout is not much good to anyone.
Yes, a pencil drawing is fine. Just be careful with terminations and crossing points.
I strongly advise running the library examples first. i.e. quote example by name. follow example wiring exactly. report problem(s).
If you modify constructor or defines, SAY SO. Copy-paste your edited statements.

I'll settle for anything that clearly shows the wiring, components and power supplies used. That is why I ask for a schematic and photos. Between the schematic and photos I can get an idea of the project wiring. I tire of making guesses or asking 20 questions just to see what we are working with.
I will stop dissing Fritzing.
I have asked several times on this Displays Forum about "what is wrong with Fritzing ?"
I have never received an explanation.
An accurate Fritzing with a clear photo of the actual wiring.
Ideally with matching component positions and wires that match the colours.
Think about it. You or I might be more comfortable with a schematic from an electrical point of view. But connecting coloured wires to the correct terminals is what the user requires.

There isn't one. It is just an easy target for the schematic snobs. The only problem with Fritzing is that it is just as easy to do a bad job with it as it is with anything else.

The back light can be the hardest bit - it is also probably the bit you need least, particularly if it is a (hah hah) "cool" blue one. Try disconnecting it and check for faint text.
I have commented elsewhere about the totally insane design of our Hyundai I-20 of some ten years antiquity with a "cool" blue backlit LCD in the centre dashboard "niche" (as well as in the instrument cluster).
Whilst it is shaded from sunlight above, the blue illumination makes it essentially invisible in daylight (as I just noticed yet again an hour back) unless the sun happens to shine directly on it from a low angle in which case its apparent transreflective aspect makes it perfectly legible!
Also, give the screen a bit of a push with your finger. I understand all these displays are factory seconds, and some are not too well put together.
