NORAD's animated depiction of Santa's movement

if they want to accurately depict "Santa" moving about the world, perhaps they should have done the math.

estimated world population is 7.6B
estimated percent of Christians is about 31%
7600000000 * 0.31 = ~2356000000 (number of Christians)

so in 24 hours, Santa must visit ~98166667 people each hour
or ~27269 people each second.

the depiction shows Santa moving slowly, so he is going to have to pick up the pace to get his job done in time.

granted, i no longer believe in Santa, but if they are going to the trouble of making a fake tracking animation, shouldn't they have him go a bit faster? though all the twists and turns, and zippy movement could give people motion sickness to watch.

I think you need to consider not all Christians use the name Santa Claus. So that is a big limit on the population number.

Paul

not all people who want santa clause to come down their chimney are christians either.

What Chimney ? ? ? ?

Tom.... :o :o :o :o
