Not able to burn my code into Arduino Mega ADK Board

I have been using an arduino mega adk board for more than 6 months and it worked fine.
Suddenly yesterday when I tried to burn a code onto it, I was not able to do so as the arduino program generated an error:
Invalid handle :Can't access COM Port(Ser.open denied)

I tried resetting the board and everything else
but still it does not work

I have been facing this problem with ADKs for last 2 years
So do I have to get a new board?

What OS?
Does a com port appear in the TOOLS, PORT tab?
