not able to upload sketches

Here is the error

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.


The arduino is connected to COM5, in the tools section it even says COM5(Arduino Uno)

Try restarting your computer. Sometimes a glitch will cause the COM port to get stuck in an unusable state and restarting will fix that.

You may also be better dropping the APP version and going to the full installation of the IDE.
There are always a few reports about the APP version causing issues under some win 10 installs.
Quite often the fix is to change to the full IDE.
