Hi everyone!
I just bought the experimentor's kit that comes with the Uno board. I'm currently trying to get the very first circuit to work (blink). I'm pretty sure I've correctly got the circuit setup on the breadboard. I'm pretty certain the drivers are installed properly (Uno shows up in com4 when connected in device manager).
I can upload the sketch to the board. The board has a flashing orange light next to "L" and the green power light is on. However, nothing happens. Some questions;
- Does it matter what colour wires you use to connect the breadboard and UNO? Some of the colours in the paper manual are a bit off (i.e. it refers to purple as blue).
- Do you need to pin the components through the paper layout onto the breadboard? I found this awfully fiddly so I just copied it instead.
I've tried swapping out the LED incase it was faulty, but that didn't solve the problem.
Any ideas?
EDIT
Issue resolved. Turns out that two of the wires weren't working properly? Replaced all three and then swapped back and forth to find out which were bad. Maybe I have a bunch of bad wires in my kit?
