Not sure where to start building stair light with Arduino Stair Shiled

I have bought a arduino Stair shield and a nano.
Stair shield: Arduino Stair Shield
The idea was to use this to control my stair lightning with motion sensors connected directly to the ASL.

But since I already have sensors in every room in my house, I would like to use them instead of two extra sensors.

The problem I'm just not sure how to do this.

If I'm gonna get some help to be able to trigger the lights from signals to the nano, or buy a extra NodeMCU/ESP8266 to control the sensor inputs on the ASL.

I'm using Homeseer as my home automation server, so something that integrates easy with that would be the best.
Homeseer is a very versatile system, so don't need to worry to much about that. Any solution controlling the inputs on the ASL is appreciated.

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas regarding what could be the best solution?

I'm new to arduino and scripting, so I can't do any fancy stuff(alone). =)

What is an ASL? What is Homeseer?

If your question is only addressed to people who are already familiar with them you should mention them in your Title. You can change the Title if you edit your Original Post.

If you describe them and post links to the relevant datasheets people may be able to help even if they are not familiar with your specific products.

Sorry.. corrected..

I am not familiar with any of that system.

I do use nRF24L01+ modules for radio controlled models but I have no idea what it is used for in that system. Note that an nRF24 works on 2.4GHz but it is not WiFi.
