Brand new duemilanove not allowing uploading. My other board works perfectly on here. I have restarted, the bootlogger works fine. This is what it is saying
avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x20
avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x10
check if your new board has an atmega328 or an atmega168.
If it is 328, then check if you selected the correct board in the menu (e.g. "Arduino w/ ATmega328").
