Not working with Wemos S2 mini

I though that I would try and transition from the installed environment to the Web one as over time it would be more convenient. New Wemos S2 mini, connects to the old environment, programmed it with Blink, seems to be OK.

Signed into the Web editor and pasted in the same example source, it verifies fine. Arduino agent installed OK. When I put the device in DFU mode the environment reports that the Lolin S2 Mini is attached. When I try to write the code to the device it says it is not attached. What exactly am I doing wrong here? I think it was this sort of error that put me off of the Web editor last time I tried. And yes, I have restarted the editor, even rebooted the Win10 machine.

Thanks for any thoughts that might lead to a resolution here.

Hi!

I'm not an expert on that specific board, so not sure if I can help you.

My suggestion would be that you try with the local Arduino IDE 2.x to check if it works.

Yup the local IDE works but I was hoping to use the Web version. I've gone through all the setup that should make it work yet it does not, it seems to detect the board than looses the connection when it goes to write. So for now I have just given it up as a lost cause. Tried on both Windows 10 and Mac.
Thanks
