The tinyGPS library is great but, since data are sent by the GPS at every one-second intervals, we have to constantly read the serial line unless the data from the GPS will jam into the buffer and bug the GPS until a reset is done. I would prefer having the GPS responding on queries from the program, and otherwise stay mute. I asked a friend of mine how I could achieved that. He came back the next day with this wonderful piece of code, and a tuto. The whole thing is in French. You still can Google-translate it in your preferred language
